Cleaning built around the school day

A school is cleaned in the hours nobody is in it. That shapes everything about how we work: crews arrive after the last bus, keys and alarm codes are handled by a named supervisor, and the same people come back each week so they know which rooms are used for what. When a classroom is set up for an exam or a hall for a concert, the schedule changes with it.

We are based in Tralee, so schools in County Kerry get daily service from local crews. In Cork, Limerick, Galway and Dublin we take regular contracts and holiday deep cleans that can be planned ahead, with a site visit before we quote. For multi-campus education bodies and training providers we can cover several sites under one agreement and one monthly report.

Pricing is published. Regular cleaning follows our price guide of €33 per labour hour with a minimum of three hours per visit, and holiday or one-off cleans start from €150. After a free site audit you get a fixed monthly price in writing, based on floor area, number of toilets and how often each area needs attention.

Education buildings we clean

Each type of building has its own risks. These are the ones we plan for.

Primary schools

Small hands touch everything. Desks, door handles, light switches and toilet areas are disinfected daily, and floors are cleaned with products safe for children.

Secondary schools

Larger sites with labs, workshops, lockers and sports changing rooms. We schedule by zone so heavy-traffic corridors and toilets get more frequent visits.

Creches & early years

Play areas, nappy-change stations, toys and sleep rooms, cleaned to a written checklist with fragrance-free, child-safe products.

Colleges & training centres

Lecture rooms, computer suites, canteens and offices, often with evening classes, so we clean late or early around the timetable.

Halls & sports facilities

Sports hall floors, changing rooms and showers, and a reset after events, mocks or parent evenings.

After summer works

New classrooms and extensions handed over by builders are cleaned of dust, paint and adhesive before September. See after builders cleaning.

Term-time cleaning and holiday deep cleans

During term

Daily or several-times-weekly visits cover classrooms (bins, desks, whiteboard ledges, floors), corridors and stairs, toilets and washrooms (sanitised, restocked, checked for leaks), staff rooms and offices, and the canteen or kitchen area. Supervisors check a sample of rooms every week, and anything the school reports is logged and fixed on the next visit.

Mid-term, Easter and summer

Holidays are when the building can be cleaned properly. A typical summer programme includes machine scrubbing of hard floors, hot-water extraction of carpets (our carpet cleaning service), high-level dusting of lights and vents, descaling of toilets and urinals, cleaning inside cupboards and lockers, and interior windows. Where there is damp on walls we treat it with our mould treatment process before it spreads.

Outside areas

Yards, steps and entrances get slippery with moss and algae, especially on the west coast. Pressure washing before the new school year removes it and makes the entrance look cared for on day one.

How a school contract starts

  1. Site audit, free. We walk the building with the principal or caretaker, note floor types, toilets, access times and problem areas.
  2. Written scope and price. A room-by-room schedule and a fixed monthly price, with the hourly basis shown.
  3. Vetting and insurance. Garda vetting confirmation for each crew member and our insurance certificate go to the board before the start date.
  4. First month review. After four weeks we go through the photo reports with you and adjust the schedule if needed.

School Cleaning FAQs

Do you provide school cleaning outside Kerry?

Yes. Kerry schools are covered by our Tralee crews every day. In Cork, Limerick, Galway and Dublin we take regular school contracts and holiday deep cleans, scheduled in advance after a site visit.

How much does school cleaning cost?

Our published guide is €33 per labour hour with a minimum of three hours per visit. Holiday deep cleans and one-off site cleans start from €150. A fixed monthly price is agreed after a free site audit.

Are your school cleaners Garda vetted?

Yes. Everyone we send into a school, creche or other education building is Garda vetted, and we can share vetting confirmation and our €6.5M public liability insurance certificate with the board of management before work starts.

Can you clean during school hours?

Most schools book us after the last class, early in the morning or at weekends so cleaning never overlaps with pupils. Daytime toilet checks and spill response can be added where the school needs them.

What do you clean during summer and Easter holidays?

Holiday deep cleans cover floors (machine scrub or carpet extraction), desks and chairs, high-level dust, toilets and washrooms descaled, kitchens and staff rooms, windows inside and post-works cleaning after summer building projects.

Which education buildings do you clean?

Primary and secondary schools, creches and early years services, further education and training centres, colleges, training rooms and school sports halls.
